HAWAII WINS THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!

Heck yeah! Was that one heck of a game or what? Gotta give them a big hand for staying tough and not giving up.

Little League, Little Minds????

Okay, so what's up with this weekend's Little League championship game placing the team from HAWAII in the Northwest? They're playing the team from Rancho Buena Vista, also known as the WEST team, where their home town is 30 minute drive north of freaking San Diego and the Mexican border! Last time I looked at a globe, Hawaii was southwest of San Diego.

Of course, to get to the big game, Hawaii had to beat the team from the Southwest, which was from Lafayette, Louisiana. Interesting how a team from almost as far east as one can drive on Interstate 10 is southwest of San Diego.

Before all you Little League fanatics get your shorts in an uproar, I know that they have to get creative when drawing the region lines for parity, etc. but c'mon! Would it kill them to give them names a little less confusing? How about Pacific for that region? Makes about as much sense as Kentucky representing the Great Lakes!
